In the Field: Everyone Counts selected to deliver election services for California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) board election

CalSTRS offers online, telephone, and paper ballots for Teachers’ Retirement Board elections

Everyone Counts has been selected to provide online, telephone, and paper voting for California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) board elections. Active members vote to fill three positions on the Teachers' Retirement Board (Board), which acts as a fiduciary for its members.

Secure technology, proven election protocol, and experience with high-profile elections were important considerations for CalSTRS when selecting an election partner.

“Being a San Diego-based company, we are excited to facilitate such an important election in our home state,” said Everyone Counts’ Sales Director Midori Connolly. “We recently introduced online voting to the 1.9 million members of the nation’s largest retirement system, with results certified by the California Secretary of State. We are honored to bring our extensive expertise in retirement system protocol to CalSTRS’ elections.”

The largest teacher pension fund in the United States, CalSTRS serves California’s 933,000 public school educators and their families from the state’s 1,700 school districts, county offices of education and community college districts.

The first election Everyone Counts will deliver for CalSTRS will run October 1st through November 29th of 2019.
